Wspomnienia z wycieczek i podróży

In my yesterday's post @agodicer, she mentioned the legendary connection between Ireland and Scotland. It reminded me of my first trip here to Ireland! I'm talking about the trip to Nothern Ireland to see the famous Giant's Causeway. One legend says that the place was built by the giant Finn McCool. It was supposed to make it easier for him to get to Scotland where his beloved lived. Another legend says that the causeway was built by the giant Finn MacCumhaill, the leader of Finn's war gang, who wanted to get to Scotland on bare feet to defeat the Scottish giant. However, when he got there, he was terrified that the Scottish giant was bigger than him and fled back to Ireland. Wanting to hide from the Scottish giant, his wife disguised him as a child. When a Scottish giant came to Ireland and saw this enormous "child", he was greatly scared that his father must then be extremely enormous. Terrified, he fled back to Scotland, smashing the causeway behind him so that the child's father would not follow him.
One of the most beautiful beaches of the Wild Atlantic Way is located close to Malin Beg. The so-called Silver Strand is nestled in a horseshoe-shaped bay. Is absolutely fantastic, with beautiful views and waterfalls on the side. I visit that beach on the way to Slieve League in Donegal. Ireland 🇮🇪🍀
What a journey!!! I miss that a lot!!! We were travel from Kandy to Colombo in Sri Lanka. The best seat in the train always at the door. We played cards almost all the way 😉🃏 I love to comeback to those pictures, to reminisces this time.
I went yesterday for a walk in the village. There is small graveyard on the top of the hill. Than the sun start its show. I was so amazed by the view on Calstlequin in Sixmilebridge. Look at the sunset!!
Three years ago I managed to climb the highest peak in Ireland. It was not easy, but it was worth it, the memories remain ... and a bit happened. When I finish going down the mountain by Devils Ladder, I heard call for help. Woman on the top twisted her ankle. The rescue team went later on the top to help her. What's worry me the most is that most people that I passed on my way up ware clothes and shoes like for normal walk. Later, like that day, they can finish with calling moutain rescue. So, be responsible for yourself and others! Carrauntoohil, Kerry, Ireland
Plane landing on Aran Islands, Inisher. Oh I'd love to do this. 🤔 I think I put this on my bucket list 😍 because I still have to comeback on Arans to see Inishmore. Aran Islands are three islands located on West Coast of Ireland, just outside the Galway Bay and few miles from Clare coast and Cliffs of Moher.
Beautiful Diamond Hill (442m). It looks like a great day... Unfortunately, the wind was blowing with force, it was difficult to keep balance, especially from the side of the bay when we go up. In the photo, my friend on the way back a few minutes before the wind literally pushed her into a ditch 😫🤕. Connemara National Park, Letterfrack, County Galway.
Gleniff Horseshoe, County Sligo, Ireland. Finally, I managed to get here 😊 For those who love walking and hike, there is a 10 km long trail surrounded by a spectacular mountain. The beautiful landscape attracts a lot of travelers like me 😉 of course. Also, behind this mountain is another famous one, Benbulben (526m), which I have already had the opportunity to climb (available in Stories Benbulben)
Oh Deer! 😍 I'd love to comeback to Killarney so much!! There is so much to do for everyone. But I know what I will do again... Early morning walk in Killarney National Park!! If you are lucky, you will be able to see the deers 😍
